The Network of Active Geodesy in Aragon (ARAGEA) has twenty stations distributed throughout the territory of the Autonomous Region of Aragon, responding to a growing demand for positioning via satellite services. It is a free service of high-precision positioning with GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers within the territory of Aragon based on ETRS89 datum, within a framework that is coherent with the Regente network and the permanent stations of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) and other external but public suppliers. The network provides code and phase corrections for GPS, GLONASS and the future GALILEO navigation systems, in RTK real time, and post-processing via RINEX file systems.
In addition, the system is an active geodetic reference framework in ETRS89, replacing and complementing with benefits the traditional geodetic networks based on fixed vertexes.
